CE Mark

The CE mark is an important symbol indicating the free movement of products within the European Union countries and their compliance with EU legislation. A product bearing the CE logo provides human safety, human health, life and property safety, environmental protection and energy saving. CE Certificate also prevents competitive inequality by determining the minimum requirements for the products of all manufacturers producing the same product.

By adding the CE mark to the product it has completed, the manufacturer undertakes that the product in question complies with all relevant legal requirements and can be sold freely in the European Economic Area.

The CE mark is not an indicator that a product is produced within the borders of the EU. However, this mark indicates that a product has been examined before being put on the market, that it meets the required minimum standards and that it has been inspected by authorized institutions, depending on the situation.

It is the manufacturer’s obligations to guarantee the continued conformity of the product, to create the technical file, to make a declaration of conformity and to affix the CE marking. Distributors must confirm the existence of both the required technical documentation and the CE marking. If the product is imported from abroad, the importer must confirm that the manufacturer meets the relevant conditions and that the necessary documents are available.
